The world famous Gap of Dunloe is a narrow mountain pass
between the MacGillycuddy Reeks and Purple Mountain.

Set in Killarney National Park, this is possibly the most scenic lake of Killarney National Park.
It offers stunning and picturesque views over the MacGillcuddy’s Reeks mountain range. There are numerous access points to the lake from the main road through the National Park.
The lake is 16km from Killarney, where you have access to hotels, service stations and restaurants.

The best view from any cafe in Ireland resides here! From the balcony you have an uninterrupted vantage point of the World famous “Ladies view”.

Ireland’s highest mountain range is home to the highest peak in the country, Carauntoohill, which sits at 1038m. Access to the Reeks is by Cronin’s yard, a rest stop for hikers that's been in use for hundreds of years.
Parking, toilets and wifi are provided, as well as space for camping and a small shop for refreshments.
Access for HGVs is not practical as you have to drive a few miles on a tight country lane so small vehicles would be recommended to get to Cronin’s yard.
