Derrymore Strand

Derrymore strand is located at the foot of the Slieve Mish mountains, nine kilometres west of Tralee on the Dingle peninsula.

This beach is at least three kilometres in length at low tide. It faces Fenit (across the bay) to the North and the Brandon Mountains to the West. The summer season is peak time for activity on this beach but it is much quieter than popular beaches like Banna, Inch or Ballybunion. The car park can hold around thirty cars. HGVs might find it hard to access the beach as the primary road to the beach  is a tight country lane that branches for one kilometre off the N86. There are no electrical power outlets or toilets at the beach.
