Located in Tralee Bay, Fenit lighthouse provides stunning views of the Slieve Mish Mountains and Dingle peninsula to the South and the Brandon Mountains to the West.
Fenit beach is located about nine kilometers outside of Tralee.
It provides great views of the Slieve Mish mountains to the South across the bay and the Brandon mountain range to the West. The main car park can hold about fifteen cars but there are also about twenty parking spaces by the footpath leading to the beach. The bridge located to the South-West of the beach accommodates another twenty parking spaces.
HGV parking is easier on the bridge. Fenit has a lot of traffic all year round due to the pier which caters for private and cargo boats. Public toilets are located at the main beach car park and are subject to opening and closing times depending on the season There is a pub fifty meters from the beach which provides accommodation, food and WiFi access. A convenience shop is located about two hundred metres from the beach. An electrical supply is available when shooting in the vicinity of the pier but a generator is required for beach shoots.
