The wishing tree is a local landmark in Tarbert and features in the best-selling book, ‘Heritage Trees of Ireland’.
Tarbert house is located two kilometres outside the village of Tarbert.
Dating from around 1690, it was built in the Queen Anne architectural style by the Leslie family. The family’s descendants have lived there ever since.
